Where do I start? Although I am a retired Registered Nurse, I come from a long line of creative people, many in the sewing and needlework area, and others in the drawing and fine arts department. I followed the group who loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and the like. I happen to be blessed with a talent for decorating, and owned an interior design business for many years. But my real love is creating something wonderful out of a piece of fabric. With a natural ability to know how to put multiple colors and patterns together, a most pleasing outcome can be achieved. A ho-hum piece of clothing can actually become an exciting and prized possession in someone's wardrobe or a nondescript household item like a pillowcase can come to life with a vivid pattern or color combination. While all of my creations have their own personal charm, I will take creative liberty with a few, when time allows, and let my imagination wander, to achieve a look all its own. I hope you enjoy looking over my creations as much as I enjoyed making them.
Welcome to my site of unique and creatively crafted custom-made clothing items, fashion accessories and gift ideas. For the individual looking for something different to use personally or for gift-giving purposes, there are varied choices available in assorted sizes, and many are one-of-a-kind. No matter what you're looking for, I guarantee durability because I start with quality fabrics. The majority of my inventory has been purchased at greatly reduced prices because I mostly buy discontinued or soon-to-be discontinued fabrics in order to keep costs down, and to sell my products at reasonable prices. However, some fabrics that are labeled "Licensed" or "Team" are more expensive for me to purchase, and that is why items made with them are higher priced than the same item in other fabric patterns. To help offset this licensed fabric, I have started making my own designs for collegiate and professional sports apparel and products, especially in my Dog Walker Pouches and Slim Crossbody Purses. Additionally, items made with embellishments such as lace, trim, applique, and embroidery tend to be higher in price because of the additional time and labor it takes to make them special.
Every item has been exclusively made by me, with serger reinforced stitching, finished or internal seams and hems. All cottons have been prewashed to remove fabric dyes, and preshrunk to keep their size and shape as closely as possible to when you originally purchased it. No short cuts have been taken and, in some cases, extra steps have been carried out to make the finished product more secure. When trim, lace, applique, buttons, or other embellishments are placed on top of fabric, not only are they secured with fabric glue or fabric tape, but are sewn into place as well. Fabrics are ironed after washing and before construction to make sure they will be accurate during the cutting process.
Some items made of a specific fabric pattern can be custom ordered to be made again. If you want an item, but need it in a different size or fabric pattern, contact me with your request. However, there are many others that cannot, due to a lack of available fabric in that pattern. The message "OAK" (one-of-a-kind) or "FI" (final issue) will be provided along with the information on these items. What this means is "this is the only one available, and when it's gone, there are no more". Remember, these items are not made in a factory or in China, but individually, by me, only. If you see an item you like, consider purchasing it, because it may not be available again.
